Robert the Bruce, crowned King of the Scots in 1306, lead a fierce resistance against English rule. Despite early setbacks, his unwavering spirit and strategic mind culminated in the decisive victory of Bannockburn, ultimately securing Scottish independence.
The Bruce Scottish pub is named in honor of Roberts direct descendant, William Ray Bruce.
William, the loving husband of Tali Bruce and father of 5, was taken far too early by cancer.
William was a "belter" of a restaurateur, owning and operating many of his own restaurants here in Salt Lake City. It was apparent to all who walked through the doors of his restaurants that outstanding service, hospitality, and a lot of fun were the standards. William simply aimed to provide the best dining experience, every single time.
This restaurant, and all its contents, are a tribute to William and the heritage he was so proud of. Like him, we too strive to provide the best dining experience possible.
